Custom Field Merge Tags

Custom Field merge tags insert subscriber-specific data into email subject lines and content at send time. Each merge tag corresponds to a custom field stored on the contact record.

Custom Field merge tags are commonly used for personalisation, such as inserting names, locations, or other data collected through forms, imports, or integrations.

How Custom Field Merge Tags Work

When an email is sent, Transpond replaces each Custom Field merge tag with the value stored for that field on the subscriber record.

For example, a merge tag linked to a First Name custom field will populate the email with each recipient’s first name. If the custom field name is "Firstname", the merge tag would be {{FIRSTNAME}}.

If no value exists for a custom field, the merge tag will return a blank value unless conditional logic is applied.
