How to start using SMS bundles
To send SMS campaigns, you’ll need an active SMS credit bundle. Bundles are available on all paid plans and are billed monthly or annually.
How SMS bundles work
Using SMS bundles you buy monthly credits which renew each billing cycle.
The monthly SMS credits don’t roll over each month. Unused credits will expire at the end of each billing cycle.
If you go over your monthly SMS bundle limit, you will automatically be upgraded to the next bundle up, so your SMS campaigns won’t be interrupted. If you’re upgraded mid-billing cycle, you’ll be billed a pro-rated amount based on the bundle you’re upgraded to.
How to manage SMS Bundles
When you create your first SMS campaign you’ll be prompted to add an SMS bundle before you send the campaign. Choose which bundle you want to use and confirm using the button that says Add SMS for £xx/month.
As soon as your bundle has been added you can start setting up campaigns and Automations to send SMS messages.
How to add an SMS bundle from inside your Company Profile.
- Go to your Company Profile > Subscription
- From here you’ll see a new option to add an SMS add-on.
- Confirm the bundle size you want and confirm.
As soon as your bundle has been added you can start setting up campaigns and Automations to send SMS messages.

How to change your SMS bundle
If you need to add more SMS credits or go down to a lower bundle, then you can do that from your account settings.
- Go do your Company Profile > Subscription
- Click the button to Manage SMS Subscription
- Now choose the new bundle you want and confirm the change.

Your new subscription will begin immediately, and your card will be charged a pro-rata amount based on your current billing cycle.
Future payments will reflect the full price of your selected plan. You can change or cancel your plan at any time.
How to cancel your SMS bundle
If you want to stop using SMS messages in Transpond then you can cancel your SMS bundle.
- Go do your Company Profile > Subscription
- Click the button to Manage SMS Subscription.
- Choose the 0 Credits (Cancel Subscription) option.
- Confirm using the red button to Cancel SMS Subscription.

When you cancel, your current plan will remain active until your next billing date, with your full credit allowance available until then.
After that, your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again. You can resume your plan at any time.
What happens when you run out of credits
To ensure your SMS messages always send uninterrupted, you will automatically be upgraded to the next SMS bundle up, and charged pro-rata for the remaining billing period.
If for the next billing period you want to go back to a lower bundle, you can change it back from your Company Profile > Subscription > using the option to Manage SMS bundle.
SMS Defaults
When sending SMS messages there are a few default fields that will be used. To configure these defaults:
- Go to your Company Profile > SMS.
- Under the 'Defaults' heading, you can set the Default From name, and the default phone number field to use from your contacts.
