Getting to know you

One of our primary goals is to ensure everyone experiences the best email delivery when using Transpond. As such, we do everything we can to ensure that "bad actors" are prevented from using the platform to send unwanted mail, which can result in a bad reputation for Transpond and for the all you legitimate customers trying to send from it.

To help us determine wether someone is going to cause issues, we reduce the speed of your email sending for the first few campaigns you send, to give us a chance to identify any problems before they cause any damage.

This process is fully automated, and once you have sent a few campaigns you will notice your campaigns start sending much quicker.

Let the world get used to you

When you first start sending email from a new marketing platform, your emails will be sent through servers that have never been used to send emails on your behalf before.

Many email service providers such as Outlook.com and Gmail may be looking at changes like this, and use that change as a potential indicator that something is not quite right.

As such, if too many emails are sent too quickly, you may find your messages get sent straight to the spam folder, or worse, don’t appear at all.

To help avoid this type of “blocklisting”, it’s good practice to slowly warm up your sending speeds when using a new platform or email infrastructure, to give those email service providers a chance to figure out it is really you.

The Transpond temporary speed limit helps to ensure that you are not sending too much, too quickly, and will help ensure that your emails are delivered straight into your subscribers inboxes.

How long will I be limited?

After each campaign you send, your speed will increase, provided Transpond hasn't identified any problems.

After five successful campaigns, you will be running at full speed.

During the period that email sending is reduced, you'll see a notice on the last page of the campaign setup screens. Once that disappears you know that your campaigns are sending at full speed.
