A Contact is anyone who has chosen to subscribe to your mailing list(s) or that you have permission to add to a mailing list. One Contact can exist once per Group you use in Transpond. Once a contact has unsubscribed from a Group it is not possible to re-add them.

There are a number of ways you can add contacts to Transpond, each method is detailed below. Before adding any contact you must ensure you have permission to send to that email address. Permission may be obtained by contacts opting into your email marketing for example.

Any User with write access is able to add Contacts to your contact list.

How to add a single contact:

Go to Contacts and then click Add Contacts.

Select the Group you wish to add the Contact to or create a new one.

Click Add a Contact under the Add a single contact.

Fill out all the relevant fields and then click Add Contact.

How to add multiple contacts 

Using Copy and Paste

The Transpond Copy and Paste tool allows you to copy any body of text and any email addresses will be detected and added to your chosen Group.

Go to Contacts and then click Add Contacts.

Select the Group you wish to add the Contact to or create a new one.

Click Start Pasting under From copy & paste.

Paste your text and then select how you would like to handle email addresses found in other Groups.

Click Add Contacts.

From a spreadsheet

The Transpond import tool supports the import of both CSV files and XLSX files.

Go to  Contacts and then click Add Contacts .

Select the Group you wish to add the Contact to or create a new one.

Click Start Importing under From a Spreadsheet.

Click to upload your file, select how you would like to handle email addresses found in other Groups, emails which have been blocklisted and the delimiter for the file - if known.

Click Add Contacts.

From another Group 

You can easily move contacts in bulk between Groups in Transpond.

Go to Contacts and then click Add Contacts.

Select the Group you wish to add the Contact to or create a new one.

Click Start Copying under From another Group.

Select the Group you would like to copy from and then select the status of the Contacts you would like to copy.

Click Import.

Tip: You can also add contacts by collecting contact information via a signup form or via an integration.
